Lots of things: But of course, the most important of these would be either a stroke or TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Other things can also do it but if your symptom is brand new or relatively brisk an unrelenting in its onset (in other words it's not going away) then, you should pick up the phone after reading this and call 911. If this is in the past anymore then, call your doctor and get in to be seen.

Nerve: That is in the distribution of one particular NERVE not an area of the brain. As such, TIA isn't what you would think. Furthermore I've never personally seen a TIA in a 30 yr old. Nerve goes from cluster base brain (trigeminal) out skull AROUND TIGHT AREA at jaw http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/trigeminal_neuralgia/detail_trigeminal_neuralgia.htm
