Are symptoms of wheat allergy different that gluten allergy?

Completely different: All ige-medited food allergies have the same symptoms, oral itching and hives if ingestion, progressing to anaphylaxis if large volume ingestion. Gluten intolerance in celiac disease causes an inflammatory bowel disease and in about 15% a blistering rash called dermatitis herpetiformis.
