See your Gyn: BV would not normally affect the hormonal process that leads to your period. If you have had sex, you certainly can be pregnant. I would advise that you take a pregnancy test AND see a gynecologist to be examined for BV and for STDs.

Get lab studies: Pregnancy can be ruled out with a home pregnancy test. These are very accurate. BV is a bacterial infection of the vagina that needs to be treated with antibiotic therapy. A culture or slide will give you the answer. If there is a "fishy odor" it is likely that BV is present. Regardless, both issues need to be addressed. Good luck.

Need pregnancy test: Bacterial vaginosis causes itching, discharge and an odor but would not cause a missed period. Please get a pregnancy test and if it is positive see a doctor as soon as possible. If you are having unprotected sex please take a prenatal vitamin daily just in case you get pregnant.
