"Depo" shot?: Did you mean Depo Provera, a birth control shot given every 12 weeks? Both pills and the shot are good birth control, but the shot can give you more irregular periods, or stop your periods completely. It is also more likely to cause weight gain, acne, and osteoporosis if used for more than 2 years straight. If you decide to use it, make sure to get plenty of calcium and vitamin D.
