A member asked:

Why do my arms fall asleep when sleeping on the recliner and my arms are just at my sides ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Arm numbness: The feeling of falling asleep is like numbness. Sometimes this happens during sleep because there are no position changes. Movements of the arms tend to alleviate numbness sometimes. This is especially true in carpal tunnel syndrome. Although I cannot make a diagnosis based on the information I have so far, perhaps a doctor visit, more information, or nerve conduction testing would help.
