Female Hair Loss: Androgenic female hair loss is common in post- menapausal women. The problem is not lack or androgens but too much androgen. The recommended treatment in such cases is Minoxidil and anti-androgen drugs called Spirinolactone (androgen-receptor blocker)and Iron supplements. Androgen supplementation may lead to masculinization, acne break out, hair loss on scalp, hair growth on body.
