Falls: This is an exciting time for you and him, but you need to be careful. If he falls (and sooner or later he will) how he falls will determine whether or not he gets hurt. Most stumbles to the floor will scare him more than hurt, but things like tables with sharp edges and breakable objects he can get to can cause problems. Time to baby-proof the house. Good luck!

FALL: Although babies are resilient or does not get hurt easily secondary to fall, yes they can get hurt. Observe for vomiting, loss of consciousness or sleeping a lot, refusal to eat after fall, get him evaluated for injury or contussion.

Plastic and rubber: Babies are seemingly made of plastic and rubber. They are highly resilient, and well-suited to the normal stumbling and falling associated with learning to walk. They can be injured, however. Baby-proof your house, keep an eye on them with your camera at the ready and enjoy!
