No: There is no hereditary risk for GERD. So there is a good chance your unborn child will NOT be affected.

Reflux in babies: Acid reflux can run in families. In babies there is spit up and then there is reflux. We often thicken feeds,keep babies in an upright position and give smaller more frequent feeds.When bad sometime meds are prescribed. Most babies will outgrow mild cases within a few months
