Wrong place: Water gets absorbed and enters the bloodstream, then kidneys filter and produce the urine that fills the bladder. Bladder provides the sonographic window for viewing the reproductive organs. Endometriosis may be very small implants and sonography fails to detect many cases.Vaginal probe may add sensitivity but laparoscopic exam is best.
