A member asked:

What is the process for testing for endometriosis? i have very painful menstrual cycles which force me to be at home on those days even w pain meds.

See your GYNE : If your pelvic pain is only at menses, then endometriosis is a consideration. But there are no good blood tests or imaging tests (like CT, MRI or ultrasound) for this. Diagnosis of endometriosis is made by a laparoscopy procedure, so you will need to see a gynecologist to evaluate the cause of your severe pain, and to assess for endometriosis. Hope that helps.
