Yes: The combination of things that your friend took can be extremely dangerous if not lethal. My strong recommendation is to take them to an emergency department for a professional evaluation. Overdose: There are some pain killer medications that can reduce your respiratory drive, which can put you at risk if you fall asleep. Being highly intoxicated with alcohol can also cause problems as you can choke on your vomit. The most important thing is to keep a close eye on your friend. Calling 911 can run up a very expensive hospital bill but at the same time if it's a true emergency you should act.

Needs to be seen!: Since we don't know the dose or name of the painkiller or the tolerance of your friend he needs to be seen immediately. I have seen people die or end up in a coma with less medication. Psychological evaluation should be considered after evaluation for any serious medical complications. Good luck.
