Uterine fibroids: There are quite a few possibilities. You could have uterine fibroids which which off time tend to give a lot of bleeding and clotting. You might just have dysfunctional uterine bleeding. You could have an infection. This could be a menopausal symptom. And, unfortunately, this could also be a symptom of uterine cancer. Considering your age, I would go to your gynecologist for evaluation.
