Bacterial Vaginosis: Gardnerella Vaginalis is the organism involved in bacterial vaginosis. There is a possibility your partner may have it as well and I recommend having your partner tested. Oral metronidazole therapy (flagyl) is commonly for 7 days. After the 7-day treatment course you should be able to have intercourse without posing any risk of infection to your partner.
