Not usually: Unless there's been a particular request for a drug screening, no. It might be that a yearly exam set up by an employer or a school could include that, but you'd not be alone and others would probably talk about it. But, you raise the issue of anxiety over legal risks. I look forward to legalization, but until it happens - it is risky and maybe foolish. Be careful. Be well. Take care.

Not usually checked.: A urinalysis done at a routine physical usually is checked for protein, sugar, blood and infection. If you are high, however, your doctor may detect this by physical signs and ask you about it. A test for marijuana would be a separate test, and it is recommend the doctor disclose this to the patient before ordering the test. Ask you doctor. An exam for work or insurance is different.

Physical for who: Employment physicals often require a drug screen. If you must get one for work, expect it. Most localities would otherwise require that you provide a written authorization for drug testing, it is not done as part of a routine physical with your doc.
