See doctor.: It's possible that your current symptoms are unrelated to the car painting. Whether the symptoms are related or not, they're serious enough to warrant a check-up with a doctor today.

See a doctor: Paint fumes can cause a great deal of irritation to the lungs and bronchial tubes. You need to be checked as soon as possible to be assessed. Your doctor may be able to prescribe some medications to help with your symptoms. In the future please wear a respirator type mask (see picture) for any work involving fumes or particles. These are available at all large hardware stores.

Get checked: The fumes can be quite toxic especially if you weren't in a well ventilated area. There could be an allergic component or reactive airways component. Would recommend getting a chest X-ray to evaluate your lungs and following up with your primary care.
