Surgery: is an option if you have failed conservative measures and have had the appropriate diagnostic measures such as MRI/ultrasound. This may be an arthroscopic or open procedure to debride and excise the tissue or bone responsible

Impingement: Many times non-healing ankle impingement is caused by a boney structure... if that is the case it will not get better until that piece of bone is removed.
