HCG testing : After conception the fertilized egg travels for about 5 days, down the fallopian tubes, before implanting in the uterus.During this time tests will be negative .After implantation begins, at about 10 days post conception( fertilization) urine tests start turning positive.Serum blood test may be positive 1-3 days before a urine test.
