It Can't Hurt: Eggs are a good source of protein and unless your cholesterol is high or your kidneys don't work it should be ok.

Stick to the whites: Egg whites alone would be an excellent source of protein without the unwanted cholesterol.

Egg protein: Egg protein is excellent and easily digestible. One egg white provides 5-6 grams protein and your father needs at least 50 grams per day. Eight yolks are too many.
