Radiology: The term Hypodense means that an area on thew CT is "less dense" when compared to surrounding tissues on the same scan. Usually the "hypodense" area is darker when compared to the surrounding tissues.

Hypodense lesion: Hi, Hypodense means less dense than average, CT scan are a shade of grey base on how dense the tissue that radiation goes through is, air is less dense and therefore black, water and fat are less dense so less black, more grayish, bone is extra dense so it's white. Now based on where this CT is taken from the lesions are different, like in brain Hypodense could be bleeding. Hope this answers u.

It depends: A hypodensity on a CT an area where the tissue is less dense. It depends on what part of the body was imaged and where the hypodensity is seen.
