A member asked:

Stopped taking 0.25mg klonopin (clonazepam) after 2 yrs bc of positive pregnancy test, will withdrawal be significant?

It depends: Jessica, 0.25 mg is a relatively low dose, so hopefully you will only get mild withdrawal. If you start having severe withdrawal. If you start having severe withdrawal (vomiting, shaking, anxiety) call your OB. Hope this helps!

Not necessarily: This is a small dose and because klonopin (clonazepam) is a very long acting benzodiazepine it will be metabolized down very slowly so it likely will not cause problems - learning and using relaxation procedures/visualization/breathng techniques/etc can be a strong replacement. Exercise may also help. Discontinuing caffeine- containing drinks and products may help.
