Probably okay: Hi SaifM, intermittent cramping at this stage of pregnancy can be normal if it represents stretching of the uterus and ligaments and is common and okay. Be concerned if it is worsening, severe, or associated with vaginal discharge or bleeding. If so, please be seen immediately by a doctor. Otherwise, congratulations!!!!

On and off cramps: may be part of normal pregnancy. If they become severe please seek medical help. If not severe, please mention it, to your obstetrician at your next visit

Maybe...: Cramping in early pregnancy can be normal. An example of normal cramping is round ligament pain. As the uterus grows, it starts to stretch some of its supporting ligaments and this causes cramping. Cramping can also represent something worrisome such as a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. Cramping is more worrisome if there is also bleeding. Best to see your Ob. Best Wishes!
