Pain: Great question. There may be infection with inflammation. If youre having pain and headaches you need to be treated as soon as possible

Is Inclusive: Infections cause inflammation but inflammation is also inclusive of other things such as auto immunne disease or trauma/healing. Check with your doctor.

Inflammation of petrous apex on MRI/CT brain/CT temporal bone. Have symptoms. Doc says incidental/fluke not cause of symptoms. Really? on 3 scans??
ENT says petrous apicitis on CT and MRI may not be infection bc WBC is normal and no ptosis. Much pain/pressure and headaches. Could it be fungal?
Should I be concerned? CT Scan shows spiculated nodular nodule left upper lobe measures 10 x 7 mm. Could represent a small lung neoplasm but is surrounded by clustered micronodularity, raising the possibility for a focus of infection or inflamation?
