More info needed...: How long ago was the root canal completed? For sure the bone was affected, but was it INfected? You should call the dentist who is treating you and have the tooth reevaluated.

Ask a dentist: This is a question for your dentist. How long ago was the root canal? In general, pain after a major dental procedure should subside within several days.

Dentist: You will have some pain in the immediate post-procedure time but since you are concerned it is best to call the office of the dentist who did your root canal. Hope you feel better soon.

Concerned !!: Possibility of root canal infection may go to bones, causing osteomyelitis , need a good oral Surgeon to evaluate you, probably Antibiotics will be needed. Dont ignore , it may get complicated.
