Upset stomach: Having mucous in the throat which eventually makes its way down to the stomach can be very irritating to the lining of the stomach and even cause nausea. Have you tried Mucinex (guaifenesin) to thin out he mucous or an antihistamine medication like Zytrec or Allegra to help stop the formation of the excessive mucous? If not, this would be a good start. Sounds like you might have some cold allergy/symptoms
