Painful urination: You certainly may have an infection but you should see a healthcare professional for evaluation. A urine culture should be done, and STD should be ruled out and antibiotics prescribed. Ampicillin is not usually adequate to treat the bacteria that cause most of the infections we are seeing today.

Here are some ...: I assumed you meant burning in your penis; if so, at which part of it, inside the urethra or its opening? What is your age? If young, consider STD-related urethritis from gono + chlamydia first; if old, consider common bacterial UTI first. Of course, for either, one has to review detailed Hx, do physicals, and test urine +/- u-culture, etc. before starting antibiotics. Apocillin is not of choice.
