Carcinoid: It is a tumor, frequently arising in the intestine and may metastasize to the abdominal cavity, liver and lungs. It's associated with carcinoid syndrome-flushing, redness, and diarrhea. In very early stages, carcinoid can be cured with surgery. However, it frequently recurs.. Medications can help with carcinoid syndrome symptoms.
