Cellular malfunction: Ecchymoses (your "random bruising" ) can develop when clotting factors or platelets are not performing normally. At times Aspirin may result in bruising as it changes the character and effect of platelets coagulating openings in small blood vessels, and blood can leak out. The number of platelets is important : a significant fall in platelet count in some disorders can result in such bruising.

Bruising: It can happen with aspirin or ibuprofen but suggest you see your physician to do blood tests
