Everyone's different: There's no standard time for grieving; it's different for everyone. It's normal to be very sad and not feel like yourself for a while. But, seek help if the grief becomes overwhelming, so that you are not able to do or find pleasure in the things you normally do or enjoy, or if you find you are just not able to get on with your life due to this loss.

Very: Sad situation. I am sorry for your loss. Every person grieves differently. So no real timetable to get over the event. I would recommend talking to someone to help discuss your feelings They also have groups of people who have had similar episodes to talk with. The more you talk about your feelings the better you will feel. Don't bottle this up and time will help you heal.
