May vary: Periodontal disease signs and symptoms may vary from slight bleeding of the gums to extreme mobility of a tooth or teeth and subsequent loss of the tooth. Bleeding gums, recession of the gums, mobility or movement of the teeth, excessive wear of the enamel on teeth, foul taste or breath not related to food intake, pain, and swelling of the gums may be associated with periodontal disease.

Bad breath and blood: Peridontal disease is a bacterial infection that destroys the fibers that hold in your teeth. Like heart disease, it is often painless, until it is severe...And then it is too late. Persistent bad breath, gums that bleed, red gums, loose teeth, shifting teeth, a bite that is changing, --all are common symptoms of peridontal disease. Call your dentist right away. He/she will be able to help you.

Periodontal disease: Loose teeth, recession of the gums, bad breathe, shifting teeth/collapsing bite, splaying of the anterior (front teeth) and bleeding/puffy gums. If you are concerned about periodontal disease, go see a dentist for evaluation. Its pretty easy for a dentist to determine if you have periodontal disease. Treatment in the early stages of disease are important in keeping your teeth.
