No...: I would advise against taking "leftover" meds. If you are concerned that you need an antibiotic, then you should have a physician see the area of concern. I am certain you can't have a full treatment course "leftover", so you will need more of the medicine and if you start guessing and treating it before it is evaluated, you complicate the picture and make it harder to get an accurate diagnosis.

See a doctor : Generally cellulitis is treated only with antibiotics . steroids (medrol) would not provide much added benefit. There are some cases in which steroids may be of some benefit to decrease swelling such in facial cellulitis caused by tooth infections but even then antibiotics alone are sufficient . I would advice you to see your doctor.
