It sounds like: the calcifications will need to be biopsied. If they were coded BIRADS 4(suspicious), as seems likely from your description, there is about a 70% chance the biopsy will be benign. Usually needle biopsy with stereotactic guidance can be performed.

Ned biopsy: Definitely need a biopsy. See a breast surgeon or a radiologist who can perform stereotactic biopsy to establish the diagnosis. If benign, follow with repeat mammogram in 6 months. If malignant, usually it is early and can be treated effectively. There are some other instances for which additional surgery may be recommended.
