Wait a week: Most commercially available home urine pregnancy tests will confirm a pregnancy typically within a week of the first missed menstrual cycle ( basically 5 weeks from when you had your last normal menses). The first morning urine is the best too test. I would week a week and if you still haven't started a period then check a pregnancy test

Wait 1 week: You should probably wait one week till the date of your missed period. However, if you so choose you can take one now.
