No: Skin cancer is very uncommon in children. But suspicious moles should be biopsied and removed if the results show they are precancerous. If abnormal looking moles are on a part of the body that is would be hard to watch for changes, it may be better to remove it so there is nothing to worry about it the future.

Don't worry: I wouldn't worry but I would get the biopsy done. If there are any atypical or abnormal cells then the time to remove it is now before there is any chance of cancer. If it's benign then you know!
