Yeast infection?: Assuming that you had frequent urgent painful urination, appropriate antibiotics should have cured bladder infection such that you'd know if it went away (or not). However, it's very common for women to develop yeast infections after taking antibiotics. Sometimes scratching that itch can lead to small breaks in the skin that can then burn. Try a new position: The urethra is located between the vagina and the pubic bone. Because of this, it can be trapped between the penis and the pubic bone and can be injured during intercourse. Try a position in which there is less upward pressure during intercourse. Also, it is a good idea to urinate shortly after intercourse as this may reduce the risk of a UTI.
