Maybe: This depends on how long ago the tube was placed and if you are having symptoms from that ear. If the tube has served its purpose and is now being extruded by the ear then it might not need to be replaced. It should fall out of the ear on its own. If you are having the same problems that lead to you having it placed in the first place it may need surgery for treatment. You should see your ENT
