Confusing question: If you have functioning tubes in place, tympanometry would not be particularly helpful.If there was a plug in one or both tubes, it would produce a visible wave form, but would usually just produce a flat pattern.I suppose if you wanted to verify tube function it could be used that way, but I prefer to look at the tubes.It is usually obvious.
