A member asked:

Does a mucocele tingle? will it leave a dark spot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually; no.: Mucoceles are blocked salivary ducts in the inside of the cheek, gum, floor of the mouth, or the palate. When they are on the floor of the mouth, they are called "ranula." They are harmless, usually due to unremembered trauma (even minor like biting your cheek), and are easily treated by oral surgeons, dentists, or ENT surgeons. They usually leave no scars or marks. Good luck!
