May not be pus: All yellow or whitish appearing substances on tonsil are pus. It is possible you have crypts or pockets in your tonsils that collect food particles that may look like pus. If the tonsils are no longer painful, they may not be infected. Follow up with your doctor, or ak for a referral to an ENT.
