Biotin: Hi, Biotin is a cofactor for Vitamin B group and as Vitamin B group is water soluble so the extra Biotin is getting excreted from body and not going to cause any side effect.

There are reports: from people that they broke out on it. There are reports it treats acne http://www.progressivehealth.com/biotin-acne.htm First, note that it is a required vitamin that is always present in you. Second, realize there is zero scientific or even slightly organized data to support either view. Might be helpful for hair if you have a deficiency. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20690572 cannot say
