Abscess?: The pimple may have turned into a small abscess. You might want to add a picture of it to your question. Try washing gently with warm soapy water.

Agree with Dr Frazee: It sounds like you have a small abcess. You can try warm compresses. But whatever you do - don't squeeze it! Don't pop pimples, either! This can cause spread of infection! If it does not improve in the next few days, or worsens, you should see your doc. Good luck!
