Ct says-few loops proximal jejunum dilated-diamtrs to 3cm & mural thickening & folds/enlargement - widths to 11mm - also ferritin 8 - what does mean?

Small bowel: This CT report shows mild small bowel inflammation. The dilatation indicates some slow down in function. The thick folds are inflammation or infiltration. The ferritin of 8 reflects iron deficiency. This requires further evaluation by gastroenterologist.

Further evaluation: Hi, this means either hemorrhage into wall or infiltration into wall, depends on the thickness being regular or irregular the differential diagnosis is different, also it could just due to the edema of the wall 2/2 other conditions like Cirrhosis, nephrotic syndromes and etc. You need to see a Gasteroenterologist for further eval. Good luck.

See a doctor: This report should be discussed in detail by the provider who performed the CT scan. Ferritin of 8 is within a low range which may be a risk factor for iron deficiency anemia among many other possibilities. As far as the CT results, there may be inflammation occurring with your colon that needs to be urgently evaluated by a doctor. Please follow up as soon as possible.
