What is the ana antibody blood test and what does a positive result signify?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Autoantibody: This is a nonspecific antibody test against your own tissue but by itself it does not diagnose any disease condition although it may point to a higher risk in developing an autoimmune disease now or in the future. The higher the titer, the more likely the risk.
