Insomnia in diabetes: Hi. Metafort-G 851 is a standard (albeit antiquated) drug combination for type 2 diabetes. It may control her well, for at least a time. However, it does not cause insomnia per se. Insomnia can result from many things including poor diabetes control, sleep apnea, and so on, but I don't think the Metafort-G is causing the insomnia.

See doctor: The medications for diabetes should not be causing her insomnia. She should see her physician for assistance with her sleeping problems.
