Abdominal pain: Methergine (methylergonovine) is a medication used after delivery of a baby to decrease uterine bleeding. It is part of a group of drugs that causes the uterus and other smooth muscle to contract. This can in turn cause, amongst other things, abdominal cramping and pain. There are other alternatives to control migraines. Speak to your doctor about your side effects.
