Freckles: Christine There are many types of brown spots on the face that can appear. Most are sun-exposure related and are treatable with laser. First, you must determine if they are in fact freckles or something different. Freckles diminish with IPL laser or skin resurfacing, but new ones will frequently appear. It depends on how much time you spend in the sun and your genetics . Sunblock!!

Yes: lasers usually only take off the top layer of a lesion so the brown will disappear but if not deep enough it will appear again Lasers are not a permanent removal of lesions in most cases
