Starvation: Yes. of course. If you are malnourished and a women who is having menstrual bleeding this should not come as a surprise. Starvation diets are the most dangerous and ineffective (in the long run) choice for dieting.

Sure thing: Yes, if you don't eat a well balanced diet including Iron and vitamins you could become anemic from Folate (folic acid) deficiency, B12 deficiency and Iron deficiency, it all depends on your storage level of these prior to dieting that how quickly you become anemic. This kind of diet is not recommended and not wise, could cause malnutrition and also backfires with Carb craving and also not sustainable.
