Savant: There are several types. Some people have memory so good it is problematic. There is a lot of recent literature on this and even a couple of documentaries. Emotionally charged events that are autobiographical seem to be stored in a different way than just factual information. The right amygdala is used for "book keeping function" Vs the left hippocampus which is used to coordinate storage of facts
