A member asked:

Is it possible for someone to have gerd as a result of a heart problem or it is something completelly unrelated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unrelated: Heart problems usually do not lead to GERD. The two are separate entities. The only thing they share is the fact that their clinical symptoms (discomfort, pain) may be similar and hard to tell apart without additional testing.
