Less likely to pass: Kidney stones of 5 mm or less will pass easily with fluids. stones 15mm or more will require shock waves to brake it down in order to pass. Your kidney stone could pass with excessive fluids 4 liters plus tamsulosin & reduce protein intake. If it does not pass, urologist could help take it out
