What's the difference between private and public hospitals nowadays?

Payment system: Private hospitals are usually owned by private individuals or corporations. While their duty is to provide effective health care, they are also concerned about profit and that is part of their fee structure. Public hospitals are owned by governments in whole or in part and receive subsidies from public funds. Their overall fee structures is set the same but they usually given much free care.
